The DOUBLESHOT ready-to-drink coffee was introduced as part of Starbucks' expansion into ready-to-drink coffee beverages. In the early 2000s, Starbucks recognized a growing consumer demand for convenient, high-quality coffee beverages that could be enjoyed on the go. To meet this demand, Starbucks developed the DOUBLESHOT line of ready-to-drink coffee, which features Starbucks' signature espresso blended with cream and sugar, providing a quick caffeine boost with the rich, smooth taste that Starbucks is known for. Following its creation, the DOUBLESHOT brand has grown to include a variety of flavors and formulations, such as DOUBLESHOT Energy and DOUBLESHOT Coffee & Protein, catering to diverse consumer preferences.

“STARBUCKS DOUBLESHOT” (the full phrase) is also a registered trademark for flavored milk, milk based food beverages, excluding milkshakes, and non-carbonated milk-based soft drinks; coffee and espresso beverages, beverages made with a base of coffee and/or espresso; and non-carbonated soft drinks [5].
